The sixth module of the Training Programme specifically focuses on the institutional standards in preparing and delivering advanced therapy in clinical services from both local and international perspectives. As a newer class of innovative medicine, advanced therapy is not yet widely adopted and available in Hong Kong. This module is going to provide insights from overseas experts to local institutions on the considerations in preparing and delivering advanced therapy. Learners will also acquire basic understanding in the patient care of relevant services.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this module, participants will be able to
- Understand the institutional development and utilisation of advanced therapy in Hong Kong
- Understand the clinical course and patient care in delivering CAR-T cell therapy
- Identify the clinical precautions and considerations in delivering advanced therapy
- Discuss the institutional readiness to provide and deliver advanced therapy services
